Often labelled the "forgotten football disaster" it is 25 years since the terrible fire at Bradford, overshadowed by Heysel ( in the same week ). It sadly took another disaster at Hillsborough to put an end to the aging and decrepit stadia for football fans.

I remember being told about this back in 2006, and being horrified at it.

The thing that stuck with me was how one of the fans was stood there, in flames, just waiting to die, because he felt he had no escape. I believe he was put out by police officers a few moments later, but later died in hospital.

I remember watching Forest at Valley Parade on the last day of the season a few years back and a minute's silence was held for those who died. I then realised I was in the stand that replaced the one which caught fire. As you say, often overlooked.
