I don't think anyone's called Barrowman a "pervert." An untalented, craven, vulgarian who shits in people's birthday cakes and brags about it, yes.

It was in the thread about him shitting on his fans. Not related to his being gay but it was still there. And it was very funny Laughing

*Deep breaths*

Their thread on Revelation had a vast number of people slamming it for not having the Daleks on-screen enough...

This, for me, was something of an epiphany: That you can consider something good because the Daleks appear in it a lot. Plot, characters, etc. are apparently less important.

I came to this conclusion a while back, with the DWM poll. I mean, leaving aside the insanity of Journeys End not being voted worst story ever, I was a little bewildered by Remembrance being so high. I was as happy as anyone to see a Sylv in the top 20... but I don't see it as being one of his absolute best. But it's got lots of Daleks and bangs 'n' flashes in it, I guess...

We have to get Sparacus here! We literally have to!

Also, I fail to see how a forum that spends all its time rimming RTD and wondering if Captain Jack was really the Face of Boe while The Hive is debating Kant, Luther and Aquinas can label us as the epitome of sad fandom.

Laughing

As Kant didn't say: " Our aim is to delimit reason in order to make room for the excoriation of New Who."

They could claim we smell of wee-wee, but Tennant, Moffat and RTD have never used the term to date, so it's not cool. Yet.

What the fuck? I read 12 fucking pages and the bloody thing was locked. I was only going to do a Bogbrush style "great stuff guys! pop on over and give us hell", ah well.

Suffice to say they have a spectacularly wrong idea about this place & that CJ chap waffles out of his arse more than I do Laughing

Interesting to read that they had to remove a nasty homophobic joke about RTD recently. Can't say I've ever had to do that, here in this uncivilised hellhole of uninhibited, uncivilised rusty bashing

CJ waffles less coherently than you do. I think the ability to say very little with a great many words must be a North American talent.

Their opaque moderation procedure is one of the things I can't stand about GB. If you're going to take some action as a moderator at least have the decency to explain why.

Just to comment on some of what they said in their thread -

They say the number of Who fans online is insignificant compared to the millions who watch nuWho, so our opinions don't matter. I'd counter that the 'millions' of viewers are extrapolated from a few thousand households that BARB uses to calculate ratings. There are easily more Who fans online than that, so our opinion is more significant than the official figures.

They seem to ignore the fact that Moffat is working for the BBC and as such he surely should be under some code of conduct that prevents him from slagging off licence payers. I feel a letter to the Director General of the BBC demanding an apology might be in order.

They seem to be working under some crazy set of standards where they can defend insults from Moffat on the basis that it's all just good clean fun, while condemning insults against people they like as not possibly being jokes, and even if they are intended as jokes they are too offensive to be forgiven.

Seemed to have missed this thread somehow (although I was aware of the GB thread).

My cunt is styled on the following exquisite piece of topiary. Pogonophiles please get in touch if you want to get in touch with my barber.

I do not like what the decision of Sparacus to spread his reign of darkness and dark layers across the online world implicates. Dear God, I just used his name that everyone else uses except me nowadays, I'm becoming one drawn into the dark layers. NO!
