In Ttat apparently they are holding out/back on the last remaining genuinely regarded classic stories like the Daemons, Seeds of Doom, Terror of the Zygons etc, until the final release in the final year of the Classic series dvd range, as one big 'super' box set ???

Oh and apparently no more 'animated' episdoes for incomplete stories like Ice Warriors and Reign of Terror (and some rumours abound that they may not be released on DVD at all) and a story many fans such as myself were hoping and expecting to be out next year (Planet of Spiders) isn't coming out at all according to that cunt Dan Hall.

Admittedly a lot of these rumours are off dicey sites like Roobarbs and DWO, but if that is true, (and personally I can see that the story about holding off the classics until one final big box set is true) they are even a more slithery and wet pack of cunts than I originally thought ...

If that is true, I'll produce a DVD of Planet of the Spiders. I know how to restore videos I.E removing noise etc. I'll then provide it free to everybody on here to put in a DVD box and match it with the rest of their collection if they want to.

Good idea, I'll get the spade and dig up Barry Letts armed with my tape recorder for the commentary...

Well, the "no more animated stories/holding back the incomplete ones till the end of eternity" is apparently true. I can't see the Spiders one being true at all

It shits me especially with the passing of Barry Letts that next year would have been an appropiate time to release a story that has very strong 'buddisht' connections to Barry's own religious and personal beliefs, but no, we have to put up with more McCoy and Davison clunkers like Time and The Rani and Kings Demons.

It really annoys me why they are taking donkey's balls years to release the Pertwees, even the stories that are in pretty good condition like Planet of the Spiders ..

I have no doubt that Spiders will come out. What would be the point of not doing so. I'd treat this as a baseless fan rumour and not get worked up about it.

I can't help but notice how many of the best, most intelligent stories have been sidelined (Face of Evil, Kinda, Snakedance, for example.) I used Snakedance to show that Dr Who was a serious intelligent drama to a group of friends just before the remake started, obviously it worked and got them thoroughly hooked.

I've heard rumours that Retarted Tiif Dickmuncher has made expressive ordres on classic stories he didnt' want released on DVD (Trial of a Timelord was delayed for a lengthy period of time thanks to that prick)

I can see the logic of holding back the best till last, so we don't end up like the video range where the last few stories released are things like The Sensorites and Planet of Giants and also holding off the pertwee's because most, if not all of them require extensive and expensive reconstruction. Invasion of the Dinosaurs, Colony In Space, Mind of Evil etc Although I do wish they'd hurry up with Ambassadors of Death. Planet of the Spiders will get released, that must just be a rumour.

However, Dan Hall does make some shitty decisions, like cancelling the Galaxy 4 recon, because apparently the audience won't accept recons now they've seen the invasion animation, and then saying no more animations cos they're too expensive. FUCK OFF. Give us the bloody recons then.

Oh and stopping the annual pdf's in favour of radio times clippings. WTF?

I thought the cartoon was an attempt to devalue the original classic. Get the kiddie cartoon makers to do visuals that make the subject look like children's hour. The recons are much better anyway. The Welsh Vermin want to change history and wreck Dr Who's reputation. They probably wouldn't have let Earthshock, The Visitation or The Two Doctors out as the remake directly contradicts them.

Dan Hall has nothing to do with Cardiff.
