Next month sees the release of what looks to be a cracking 4 disc set, with plenty of extras.
I can't wait for this! Very Happy

Here are the covers/details, to whet your appetites. Cool

I think "Twin Dilemma" could have been a good story had it not had those twatty twins in it, that stupid pillock Lieutenant Lang in it(what a tosser he is!) and had been afforded a proper budget, lighting, direction and costume department.

At the heart of it, there is actually what could have been a good traditional Doctor Who story there.

I still think that although undeniably bad, "Twin Dilemma" is better than some of McCoys more woeful efforts once Grade had "improved" the programme.

And it's also a fucking Hinchcliffe classic compared to shite like "Crud and Monsters", "Last Of The Time Turds" and "Morons in Crime" etc

The irony of that is huge.

Or put another way " if it wasn't for those twins, that stupid pillock Lieutenant Lang and had been afforded a proper budget, lighting, direction and costume department it might have been OK".

Reminds me of "what have the Romans ever done for us?"

Laughing Twin Dilemma has only one redeeming feature for me: it's the first few minutes before Colin puts that stupid coat on. His Doctor could have gone in so many better directions - but every time I watch it he picks up the same coat.

I like the way the covers mirror the novelisation's covers

wtf is this though

Perfect Scenario: The End of Dreams - Continuing his search for inspiration, scenariosmith Zed resumes his studies of twentieth century television's Doctor Who. What he finds will have a profound effect on the lives of all of the remaining sleepers in The Field of Dreams… Featuring interviews with actors Katy Manning, Jane How, Janet Fielding, Bernard Horsfall and Tim Preece, producer Barry Letts, script editor Terrance Dicks. With Rich Batsford, Mick Broster, Tony Broster and Paul Ewing, and the voices of Steve Broster, David Harley and Cathryn Miller.

sounds a bit myth makers

Leave it a couple of months and you'll be able to pick up Twin Dilemma for a couple of quid.

Yes I'll be getting it though. I am a completist Smile Plus it's Colin's last story. I've just listened to Doctor Who and the Pirates. Colin is just wonderful. He even gets to sing Smile

PPS

Oh Fuck. Read on to the next article to discover an act of horrifying cultural vandalism by Tom Spilsbury - henceforth known as Twatface Mao.

Quote:
It will be quite some time before the future implications of the Krollgate scandal will be fully understood. The revelation in an editorial by Doctor Who Magazine editor, Tom Spilsbury, that he sent three thousand one hundred and fifty copies of the rare Target novelisation, The Power of Kroll, to be pulped simply to save on the cost of some storage space after they failed to be given away as freebies will have sent a chill down the back of those fans who scoured WH Smiths looking for a copy of issue 397 with Terrance Dicks’s novel attached in order to complete their mini-collection of The Key To Time season, only to come up against Galaxy Four over and over and over again.

Shall i just change the thread title to 'The Twin Dilemma' and be done with it? Laughing (It's all your fault Rani, Making us talk about that shite!) Wink
I won't be buying it. I'll just watch the extras when my mate gets it.

Btw - The Pirates is fucking awful if you ask me!

Great Dalek War covers though!

Power of Kroll is an excellent Target, one of my favourites. If that really happened, it's a crime of Pamela Nash proportions.

I don't think it's all that rare though - I've got 2 copies, and I noticed another two on my bookshop trawls in August.
