Tell you what Rani you can have vinegar tits Tate and Bingoface Piper and I'll have Ray instead any day! Very Happy
I'm not interested in your sordid fantasies. I just want well written, well acted companions irrespective of the size of their tits. I suggest you stick to the Sun.

Piper and Tate have been widely acknowledged as putting in great performances.

Yes, great performances as being lowest common denominator thickos for entertaining the Chavs with.

I reckon when she was alive Fathead T Davies could have picked Jade Goody for companion and you would have thought it "fantastic" and "An amazing coup for the show"! Very Happy

It's a pity Noel Clarke's Mickey didn't spend more time as a
companion in Season 2-he was a good actor, and he'd have
broken up the Wose/Doctah smugfest.

Mickey started out in "Rose" as a wimp, but developed into
a brave and competant man in AoG/DD. Of all RTD's characters,
he's the only one that went on a genuine "emotional journey"
where his character changed for the better.

As someone with a degree in Performing Arts, Billie Piper is quite possibly the worst actress I have ever had the misfortune of clapping eyes on. There is no character to Rose at all. Nothing. There have been computer generated actors who have been more sincere actors. She's had no training and it shows a mile off. There is more to acting than learning lines and she plainly doesn't get that.

Catherine Tate; I believe, is a decent actress. It's just a pity that her character is so incredibly annoying that I can't sit through half a minute of her.

Personally I thought that Dodo was played by a better actress with more acting ability than Rose, and the character of Dodo was certainly more three-dimensional and real too.

In fact the best thing you could say about Billie Pipers selfish character is that she was less useless in Series One than the useless lump Ecclesgone was playing.

The only problem with Dodo, is that she had a different fucking accent each week/episode Very Happy

Still I reckon billie Piper was a better actress then Crappy Ann Ford, which isn't saying much, but still Rose annoys me far less then Susan Foreman.

I reckon Billie Piper is a better actress than Carole Ann Ford(which like you say, isn't saying much), but I do think the scripted character on paper of the alien telepath Susan was far more interesting and intriguing than that of chip scoffing boyfriend hopping selfish thicko chav Rose.

Quite true, he had all the qualities required in a companion - bravery, loyalty, determined to do his best evn when aĆ³verwhelmed. It's so typical of DAvies that the best character he creates is then depicted as an "idiot". It shows how little understanding of the companion's role he's got.

Yes, great performances as being lowest common denominator thickos for entertaining the Chavs with.

Nonsense, that is more appropriate for the casting of Spearitt in Primeval.
