These are now available to read online, or at least, two of them are, at http://magazine.dwfiles.com/index.odl. And they ain't the usual New Who turd polishing magazines either; they tribute the SHIT out of classic, and it's epic. I mean, take a fucking look at this:

Yeah, it's okay. Not as good as DWM, but not bad.

By the same people who do Dr WHo: Battles in Time so I wouldn't expect much and will also stick with DWM. Much better coverage, even of the old series.

Tulloch spelt wrong.

I must say though, it would be great to be some 9-year old New Who fan reading words like 'he almost succeeded in destroying Gallifrey, but the Fourth Doctor stopped him' and imagining the story, and thinking about till you finally got to see it.

Takes me right back to reading DWW - 30 years ago for Kroll's sake. Get a shovel someone, I'm all ready.

Gotta say, I've just revisited this thread, and seeing those scans gives me chills.

After so long, the fucking Zygons appear in a magazine for children. One thing I am so grateful to Random Turd Display* for is the popularity he's brought to classic Who. I remember doing my work experience, I worked as a classroom assistant and the kids soon picked up on the fact that I am a Doctor Who aficionado - they were asking me all sorts of questions about the old series, which to them was still an exciting mystery. Just about every single one of them couldn't wait to check it out.

One lad said "I saw the story where the blonde Doctor pushes a Dalek out of a building."

I wiped away a tear.

*got to keep the balance!

Rewatching it, it provides an unpleasant blueprint for the ghastliness of the New Series - and it's equally unfunny.

I'vr got in on VHS! Whoops... I bought it because it had a Dalek on the front Neutral. I found it quite funny about 6/7 years ago. Might watch it later, I'm sure it will be on youtube.
