Are you a completist, and still buy them? Or a realist, and think "fuck that"? I ask this because initially I intended on buying all the classic Who DVDs but Time and the Rani has just come out.

I own Remembrance of the Daleks as that is the only 7th Doctor story I'd say is watchable. I wouldn't dream of paying good money for the rest of that McCoy crap.

Hullo, Tetra.Been a while. Very Happy

I made the mistake of buying Black Orchid before watching it. It's... almost amusingly banal.

Although I disagree about the McCoy era; as soon as I have a computer with a DVD drive again, I'm getting Ghost Light.

Black Orchid got so many good reviews when it was released. It was at this point where I started to question the judgement of fandom ( which I concluded with Time Rift). Black Orchid is absolutely appalling.

I like being a completist though but I would NEVER pay for Time & the Rani - take that as you will Smile.

Since I filled in the gaps in my collection by alternative channels, the only DVDs I've bought have been ones where I wanted to hear the commentaries (like Timelash).

I agree. I'd never buy anything from season 17 except Destiny
and City, and nothing from Season four of New-Who.

I think I'm just gonna get the DVDs of the ones I like and view the rest by other means - because I do actually want to see all of Doctor Who, shit or not.

Liam tells me the last story of TOATL is excellent. Hopefully it'll make up for the rest of the 'epic'! If our opinion differs (and to be fair it rarely does) it'll probably go up on ebay or something.

Have you got it Mike? Amazon has it coming out in March.

Thought it was out.

It's never setting foot under this roof.

Stories I don't like?

It's Doctor Who, the whole thing is televised perfection, and that includes the crap ones. (I might be biased).

I own everything, and I'll be picking up TATR.

Classic Who, yes. I even bought Axos and Morbius. Talk about a completist. Laughing

NuHu... no. Have yet to buy any of the specials, and have no particular intention of doing so.

I like Axos and Morbius. What's wrong with them?
