Interesting, a complete conversion of the original Half Life to Source. Sounds cool, but it'll probably be released at the same time as Half Life 2: Episode Three. Laughing

If I remember correctly, it's nearly finished and Valve may well give it an official release Very Happy

Also, I've heard Half-Life 2 Episode Three going to be longer than all the previous Half-Life 2 games combined! I just wish they'd get a move on Sad maybe they're using Portal 2 to test some gameplay concepts for it?

I've been looking forward to this for a good long while now. Half-Life 2 is my all time favourite video game, it's beautiful.

Personally, I hope Episode Three reveals the following questions:
.Who and what is the G-Man and who are his employers?
.Who leads the Combine?
.What happened to Rosenberg, Simmons and Bennett, after the end of "Half Life:Blue Shift". We've seen Barney but what about them?
.How did Kleiner, Eli Vance, Magnusson and Breen survive the nuclear explosion at Black Mesa?
.What happened to Breen, anyway, and why did he get chosen to lead Earth?
.Will Adrian Shepard and Race X ever return?

Well, I don't think the last one will get answered. Laughing

I like how they added vibes from "1984" into the Combine controlled Earth. Also check out this:

Shocked IT'S A LIE. Shocked

Enough. With. The. Cake.

Portal was released four years ago, and that joke wasn't exactly brilliant at the time.

This looks awesome, I like the physics and storyline in Half Life 2 and still very much like the premise of Half Life 1.

I wonder how all of the gravity physics will effect gameplay in Half Life 1 or even if you get a Gravity Gun mod? Those screenshots look sweet though and fuck me, the video looks awesome.

I must admit, I don't play FPS as much as I used to because most of the releases in the last 4 or 5 years have been so dull, I think it was only Doom 3 and Half Life 2 which maintained my interest in the genre and Quake 4 felt so dissappointingly clunky.

I wonder if they're gonna do Opposing Force and Blue Shift too?

Most of today's FPS's are always involving WW2, the "War on Terror" and some other patriotic bullshit. I half wonder whether that's why we've got so many "militaristic/edgy/hardcore" teenagers who think war is so badass and cool, even though they run for their lives if a car backfires outside.

Well, I've heard that they are affiliated with the people behind "Operation Black Mesa"

http://www.obmsource.com/

I've heard that there's also people working on a "Blue Shift:Source" though I've forgotten the website.

Odd how nobody remembers Half Life:Decay. Laughing

Absolutely spot on.
Although I liked the initial glut of WW2 shooters like "Return To Castle Wolfenstien", "Medal Of Honour", "Call Of Duty", the original "Day Of Defeat"(which was the VERY best out the lot), once "Americas Army" came out along with a load of bullshit Vietnam/Middle East shooters and especially "Soldier Of Fortune" (which is admittedly amusing on the gore/maiming content but sickeningly jingoistic), I really got pissed off big time with the whole genre and yearn badly for the more occult/sci-fi shooters of yesteryear.

I want a shooter game not some fucking political yank bullshit propaganda about how cool it is that American rules the world because it has the biggest guns.

Maybe, but it should at least be remembered that the closing chapter of Modern Warfare 2 involves playing as an SAS soldier shooting huge hordes of Americans, I thought that made a refreshing change.
