Some interesting choices there-though the mummy and the SV7 robot are already available of course, in a supposedly limited edition gift set, and no doubt there'll be some clever ploy which means anyone who bought the set will now have to buy them again...

Pity the DA Master's costume is spoilt by a silly Lord Mayor's sash.

The sash of Rassillon, silly? Well, maybe-but at least it's authentically silly!

I wonder?

I was wondering that, too. But not half as much as I'm wondering where Doctors seven and eight have got to...

Yes, I suspect your suspicions are not far off the mark. And naturally, they'll end up getting snapped up within days, then turning up on ebay at fifty quid each.

They did a Tomb Cyberman, but not a Wheel one (so far).

What kind of sick fucks work at Character options? The other day I bought the "Deadly Assassin" Master, only to find that beneath his cloak he was wearing the suit, with the Nehru collar, that belonged to the first Master. So, I've now got a plastic representation of the emaciated corpse of Roger Delgado on my mantelpiece! What next? Zombie Hartnell? Putrid Pertwee? Or how about a decomposing Troughton with detachable arms? Jeez.Shocked

Not to mention that they slap the remake logo on Dr Who characters.

The 'Taxi Cab' logo is shite. However, it's still better then the McCoy 'Game Show' logo, which is beyond description. BTW, Nu Who is not a remake, but a continuation. Some of it may be bloody awful, but if quality was the criteria for what should, or should not, be accepted as canon, then that would exclude most of the Troughton, Davison and C. Baker eras. And as for the Paul McGann movie... well, fuck that.

It's a remake. A remake that desperately wants to be a continuation (presumably in the hope that some of the original's quality will rub off on it) but what it wants and what it is are not the same thing. Razz
