Futurama

Watched a new episode of this the other day (on holiday in America at the moment), and it's really suffering from the 'Wow it's Futurama!' factor at the moment. Too fast, too self-aware, and not funny enough. Hopefully it'll get better later on...

Just finished watching the Beeb TV adaptation of Gormenghast. I've no idea how accurately it reflects the book, but it was a fun piece of TV and very well made.

Currently watching Upstairs Downstairs. Superbly acted and wonderful drama. It really brings to life the period at the start of the century.

If you like that, I'd also recommend The House of Eliot. I watched the first series of this not long ago, and it holds up really well.

Just a heads up, but according to the Guide in today's Guardian, that new BBC 2 show this Friday dedicated to newly discovered ( or broadcast ) home movies features some Pertwee in Whomobile stuff.

Just watched 'the deep' on BBC iplayer.

I would say on initial viewing this looked pretty good. im not going to say anything about it really for spoilers sake, but if you're at a loose end for an hour give it a try,

I'm watching Mongrels right now, it's the funniest thing I've seen on TV for years.

The original BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. Nostalgic, but not 'good'. I still like the ships etc, but even my kid self knew a STAR WARS cash in when I saw one.

I first saw this at the cinema in 'sensurround', which basically meant 'so loud it should make your chair shake.'
