Reports are circulating that acclaimed actor Ian McNiece
(Edge of Darkess, Dune, Valkyrie) will be playing Churchill
in the upcoming Moffat story.

If true, I'm pleased, given McNiece is a superb actor. Cool

That will be the Dalek story then as it is apparently set during WW2.

Ian McNeice is wonderful. It was only recently when watching Edge of Darkness for the first time that I realised just how brilliant he is. I've only seen him do a few things since (Lovejoy) which really didn't stretch him.

Of course: Churchill vs Daleks in the Love and Monsters basement. This is still gonna be massive fanwank and probably crap. McNeice will rise above tho.

Should be amusing to see him stomp all over Smith in the gravitas stakes then.

A bit like Laurence Olivier pairing up with Sylvester McCoy I imagine.

Churchill Vs. Daleks ? Well we later see Harold MacMillian fight
the Cybermen, or Gladstone take on the Weeping Angels? Wink

Rumours are also circulating that Sophie Okenodo is
returning to DW. Good news if true! Cool

She's the very beautiful actress who played the tree in The End of the World. Ironic, then, that she's given the least wooden performance in New Who thus far.

Nah that was Yasmin Bannerman.

Okenodo's only Who apperance was in Shalka I think, she is good though.
