Probably.

Ridiculously funny either way.

I like the responses - one (quite poetic) cut-and-paste from the Koran and one anecdote about something some stoned girl once said. That board makes the Hive look positively homogenous.

I suppose it's anthropocentrism, isn't it? It was quite shocking
for people to learn that the earth went round the sun, which was only
one star among a huge galaxy.

I remember reading my father's old encyclopedia as a kid, which had pictures of all the galaxies and I remember feeling fascinated and a little dizzy at the huge size of the universe.

That's why we're Doctor Who fans, I reckon-our fictional hero can
theoretically go to anywhere and anywhen in the universe.

I thought it was because we liked to amuse ourselves with the foolish antics of the lower classes in their council estate flats.

Are you insinuating there's more than one Davies fan on this board?

The translation from 1 Timothy 6:20 is hilarious. There's a lot of semantic stretching involved to render antithesis tes pseudonumon gnoseos as "oppositions of science falsely."

My NRSV translation gives: "contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge" along with a footnote explaining that Paul's target is elements early Gnosticism. In fact, this epistle attacks those who claim to have superior knowledge.
