So has Moffat just backpedalled due to the negative reaction to the new design or was this always part of plan? What do you think?

I think he's going back on his word because of the almost universally negative reaction the Fatleks have recieved. Which isn't surprising, given that they resemble a Peter Cushing Dalek that's been left out in the sun too long. I'd like to see the return of the silver and blue daleks, as seen in every 1960's Dalek story, they never looked as good after being repainted for Day of the Daleks IMHO.

A return to the silver and blue daleks would be a great way to win back the fans after the Fatleks. But I'd settle for the gold ones right about now.

“I won’t take calls from THAT Prime Minister.”

I hope he says that about Thatcher.

That would be just too predictable.

It would be more interesting if it was Jeremy Thorpe, who we know was elected Prime Minister in the Whoniverse.

I think the fucking kiddy Dalek suit William Hartnells daughter and Toyah Wilcox are harping on about in the "More than 30 Years" documentary are better than the fucking Fatleks.

Hell, even those appalling cardboard box creations kids make themselves which have appeared on the BBCi site are better than those Fatlek abortions.

They look like retarded versions of Cushing Daleks which have invaded Teletubby-land.

Personally I would like to see the return of the lifesize cardboard Dalek hordes that adorned the backdrop of every story in the 60s.

Actually that ridiculous Dalek Supreme with the bloody torch for an eyepiece in PLANET is better (how the hell did he see?????) - even THAT ludicrous production decision is more bearable than Muffheid's Eastmancolor parody dodgems!

So he didn't replace the old Daleks, he just created an officer class?

Two questions.

1. Why did they destroy the old style ones in Victory?

2. Who wants to be promoted to be a drone?

As long as we have some half-decent looking Daleks on-screen, I'm pleased. At least he's keeping the old ones.

Surely the half-arsed excuses are what we've come to expect of Nu-Who?
