But he said continuity when old characters did return was not difficult to achieve.

"Having taken the precaution of having memorised every single event in Doctor Who's history, it's fairly easy for me to keep continuity because I remember it all.

"In the end, a television series which embraces both the ideas of parallel universe and the concept of changing time can't have a continuity error - it can't.

"It's impossible for Doctor Who to get it wrong because we can just say 'he changed time, it's a time warp, it happens'."

oh dear!

ah well, I will reserve judgement for the night

Sounds like Moffats gonna reign in a lot of RTD's excesses though.

And if it means the series finally shuts the fuck up about bloody Rose and the Doctor continually going "Boo hoo hoo, I wuved her, she was special to me" in a load Davies drivel(who evidentally understands absolutely fuck all about the character of the Doctor to write such shite in the first place), and if it mean that horrible hideous thicko Trisha-viewer type Tyler clan have fuck all chance of re-appearing ever again then this is tremendous news.

It is also good news that we won't be promised a million billion zillion gillion Daleks all attacking cardiff in the year ten thousand billion bilion zillion trillion drillion every single series, which can all be magiced away with gold fairy dust via the flick of a switch, pull of a lever or wave of The Doctors Harry Potter magic wand sonic screwdriver for the umpteenth time.

If it means we get good story-telling with suspenseful tense scenes and some decent horror, then it should be an all round improvement on Fatheads emo-dirge "everyone fucking lives" third rate comicbook hack drivel.

I feel ashamed just discussing his fanwank nonsense. He should be paying us £10 a time to toss him off behind the metaphorical skip of TV culture.

Surprised to see the Moff speaking publicly about his plans so soon

Stop calling him "the Moff." It makes you sound very silly.

You mean, aside from by making him sound like he should be played by a rather frail Peter Cushing?

It makes you look an arseclown by exercising over-familiarity with someone who you don't know or have ever met personally.

He's not your best mate who you met way back at school or anything Rani.

It's also dreadfully 1996, Swindon pub-talk.

It's just too, too shaming.

I know exactly what you mean. I once went into a pub in Swindon.
