The 90s falcon anti grav tank looks pretty similar

I think they rebranded them or something

It's such a well-realised universe, a film or series would kick arse

There is a Warhammer film in the works:

On the downside, the track record for game-based movies isn't good- remember "Dungeons and Dragons" with a ham-tastic
Jeremy Irons? Sad

Hm, not convinced. Everybody's so busy fighting that there would never be any interesting characters, ever Laughing

Same chassis it's the turret, It was available as an upgrade part before they made an official Wave Serpent kits.

They won't do a proper/decent/live action 40k flick, GW and the game background has changed to much from it's darker 80's British style for it to be any good.

Anything not based on one of the books series would require to backstory and whatnot unless you made it a series, the only things that would really work would either be a Gaunt, Cain or Inquisitor Series, but they'd have to do them as 12 rated to appeal to their younger market so you'd never get the Slaanesh, Khorne,. Dark Eldar, and obvious lets pick apart western religion that exists in the game.
Take the Golden Compass film as an example that was canned for being "anti christian" etc etc, imagine the outcry when you'd have with "The Imperium Of Man" and it's pastime of Setting fire to people and nuking planets"

The Warhammer 40K is one of the most unpleasant places described in
fiction-I always think of it as "the anti-Star Trek".

I used to play the Fighting Fantasy books that some of the folk that
did Games Workshop also worked on, and I always thought some of
those books- "City of Thieves" or "Legend of the Shadow Warriors"-might
make an interesting graphic novel or even film.
