Post/discuss things that have always bothered you, and yet as far as you are aware, remain unanswered.

Re: Utopia

If it's the year 100 trillion or whatever, how come we still use trucks?

I don't know the answer to that, but you should read his column in this month's DWM. It's one of the worst pieces of prose I have had the misfortune to read. As someone recently said to me: "Isn't he supposed to be a professional writer?"

Moreover, the idea that the distant future looks like a Pat Benetar video is very disturbing.

If you could say one thing to Davies, what would it be?

I would like to ask him: "Have you deliberately ruined Doctor Who or was it sheer incompetence?"

Why Rusty Turd Dildo turn such a charming and legendary figure like The Master into a cliched, misogynistic women-beater ???
I bet Roger Delgado would be turning over in his grave ???

Also why are fans like Rani lulled into thinking RTD is the Fucking Messiah, when in reality he's a naughty camel humper ???

Why did the Doctor agree to take Rose back in time to see her dead Dad in Father's Day? And then, when she missed seeing him, why did he agree to take her round again for a second go? Was the Blinovitch Limitation Effect not working that day?

What was he thinking of? Can you imagine any of the other Doctors agreeing to do even the first? They'd have responded with lapel-holding lectures, sad looks, patronising explanations, a soliloquy delivered to the opposite side of the camera, or shouty outrage, but they'd all have meant 'no'.

Up till that point it was (for sound narrative reasons) an absolute no-no for the Doctor to cross his own or his companions' path. Even when that meant not rescuing companions and other worthy people who'd been killed. What next? Travelling back to the Sandminer 3 days before the action of Robots of Death commences, and pushing Taron Capel over the side so that 'everybody lives'?

Why would the Time Lords not have been to 100 trillion? They're supposed to be able to predict everything through the Matrix! Why would they know nothing about 100 trillion?

Why does every culture in the universe, at every point in its history have the same cultural concepts as present-day western culture?

Why, hundreds of thousands, or even billions of years in the future, do people still dress like us, have the same names, watch the same TV shows?

Why would people in the far future know anything about Eastenders?

Oh, wait a minute, it's all to do with Russell's lack of imagination, isn't it?

Why did the Doctor say he'd met Arthur Dent?

If RTD is a fan, as he claims, why does he shun and insult other fans? As a fan, why does he insist on producing this utter cr*p? The 90s is littered with astounding ideas, concepts, and stories that fans can come up with - why is RTD only capable of producing contemporary Earth council estate soap opera cr*p?

Why does no one at the BBC see RTD for what he is - a giant ego that's surrounding itself by sycophants?

Why does RTD never think about his story before he sets pen to paper?

Given the series has been going for 45 years, on and off, why can't the BBC see anyone else producing it? Why are they so frightened of letting RTD and Tennant go? Are they afraid that no one else can produce this level of cr*p, and so the viewers will drop when the show starts respecting the audience and stops appealing to the soap audience again?

Oh, and the sixty-four million dollar "new Who" question is...

If newWho is so popular, why is there no series in 2009? How exactly do you serve the 14-million strong eager audience by NOT producing the series? The real reason, not the RTD-fan back-slapping boot-licking rhetoric.

I wouldn't know, but seeing as Davies can't speak Welsh it would a funny thing to shout in his face.

I don't necessarily have an issue with this; after all, the Doctor has met fictional characters before (cf: The Mind Robber).

Although I suspect that in this instance, it arose from the writer's lack of talent. A shame really as I think The Christmas Invasion is one of Davies's best pieces - aside from the usual shitticisms he feels the need to insert into every script.
