Good news if true, I'm sure Nighy will be great. He was one of the few things I liked in Love Actually.

I really have no idea what to expect from this episode though. Curtis is one of the last writers I'd expect to work on Who... is it a case of Moffat just jumping at the chance of getting a big name on the show, or does Curtis have a great story up his sleeve?

It'll probably be better than Chibnall's, whatever happens!

Curtis used to write edgy stuff like "Blackadder", "Not the Nine O'Clock
News" and "Spitting Image". But the last thing I saw by him
-the bland "The Girl In the Cafe", a smug lecture on Third World
Poverty that didn't actually feature anyone from the
the Third World-didn't fill me with confidence. Sad

It's all right, Rob. They've still got some incontinence pads left over form The End of Time.

If DW can get Richard Wilson and Annette Crosbie, why can't they
get David Renwick as well?

He could borrow some of Bernard Grubbins I guess.

Do you remember when all of the McGann haters wanted Old Pooh-Pants Nighy to be the Doctor for the 2005 series and were so convinced that RTD would deliver?

They must have been so disappointed that they ended up with a chip scoffing bin man instead of an incontinent.

Who were these "McGann haters"?

Who were these "McGann haters"?

Mostly RTD fanboys who didn't want him to bring back McGann or have the series as a direct continuation of the Classic Series because they were embarrassed about it.

Probably have them to stop you know who from crapping all over the set.
