Perhaps Quake 3? Goldeneye? Treasure Island Dizzy? Total Annhilation? World of Warcraft?

I vote Counter-Strike. The most indulgent online game I've ever played in my life. Pretty much sapped 3 years out of my life. Playing 5on5s with my clanmates on Ventrilo was great fun. Made some great friends. Great times! A true test of tactical nous and technique.

1. Half life
2. GTA - San Andreas
3. Duke Nukem 3d
4. Tetris
5. Goldeneye 007
6. Quake 1
7. Tekken 2
8. Silent Hill
9. Resident Evil 2
10. Sonic & Knuckles

er

11. Super Mario 3
12. Age of Empires 2 (most addictive strat game ever)

But my overall would be San Andreas, just for the sheer amount of time I spent playing it. There are better games, but the sandbox style simulation of a whole city, with weapons etc - I could just play it all day. Good soundtrack too!

I really like the whole gothic style of Quake. Quake 2 was such a dissapointment.

I can't say with any authority what the 'best' one is, but my all-time favourite (as a person who plays games for the story at least as much as the actual gameplay) is Half-Life 2. I just finished playing it again the other week, along with the episodes. It's a masterpiece.

Yeah it cool, diabolism/lovecraft meets sword & sorcery meets cyberpunk - very strange atmosphere

Most of the music & sound effects are by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails - the jump noise is unmistakebly his voice Laughing

Half-Life 2, without a shadow of a doubt.

Ocarina of Time is the best game of all time, that's not even open to debate, it's not an opinion it's a demonstrable fact.

Contenders for second place for me would include Ico, Halo and Portal.

Don't really play computer games. They are for sad nerds. But a couple I have liked have been Championship Manager 2 which is quite addictive and Doom. Mind you I have not played a computer game for years.

It's so easy to call someone a nerd online, on a forum where nobody can see what you look and speak like.

Not to mention the fact you probably regularly post on Goon Base and have a shelf full of Nu-Who! We're the nerds... sure.

Donkey raping shit eater.

I hate the constant labelling of people who enjoy non-mainstream stuff as 'nerds'. What's the bloody difference between being passionate about football and being passionate about Doctor Who? They're both passion, dammit!

As for video games, they're so mainstream now that there's practically no such thing as a 'video game nerd'.

I have never raped a donkey.

I have never eaten excrement.

I have not even seen 2 girls 1 cup.

I feel deprived.

I think by nature of our hobby we are all nerds. I would include Soccer fans in that and all hobbyists. Some nerds are cooler than others Razz

I do take great exception to you insulting me by accusing me of having NuWho in my collection. I would sooner hack my testes off and fry them in garlic than buy a NuWho DVD.

Out of me they both make zip. I am not really into films either, unless they are hammer/amicus camp cheesy horror from the sixties and seventies.
