Let's not deny it-when fans feel "creative", the by-product is often akin to diarrhoea in text form. The Internet has allowed many young fans to inflict heinous crimes against the English language and common sense in general.

The Half-Life videogame series was written by competent, intelligent writers, which makes it kind of insulting how these fanfictions came about:
The videos below are text to Gmod adaptions, the uploader has read it out in the name of comedy, but the fanfic is, sadly, serious.

That was kind of odd.

Writing fanfic is probably better than going around stabbing and shooting people. If folks enjoy writing it, good luck to them so long as I don't have to read it. I think the best fanfic I ever read was a homoerotic scene between Davros and Nyder written and posted here on this forum in the spirit of sarcasm. Actually, it was better than some of the books.

Here is my fanfic.

It is truly superb, I think you will find. Very Happy

Perhaps the most vomit inducing fanfiction ever created was something I wrote several years ago which involved Barrowboy being tortured by the Iraqi Republican Guard.

Hmmmm... I think I might question the actual "fan" element there... unless of course you're actually claiming authorship of Iraqi Republican Guard fanfic.

The basic story is that the TARDIS lands in Baghdad in the middle of the First Gulf War, Rose is almost immediately arrested by the police for vagrancy and Tensquee and Barrowboy are assumed to be very inept British and American spies, so they're dragged off to be tortured for the next 3 chapters. Barrowboy ends up sealed in the foundations of a new cement factory and Tensquee gets shot while trying to escape, only to wake up as Paul McGann.

I like your style.

Er... your name wouldn't be Andy by any chance? This reminds me a lot of my mate Andy's darker musings.

No, but great minds think alike, as they say.

i think I happened upon one once where Tenth was tooling around the Time and Space without a companion, happened upon Tegan on Earth after she left and then there was the shags.

A re-telling of Black Orchid, light on the murder, with slightly more Doctor/Tegan sex than one might reasonably expect:

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3076528/1/White_Orchid

"Mind if I cut in?"

"Cut what? Oh, you want to dance with Tegan. I mean, of course you do," Adric replied and stepped cheerfully aside. Tegan overlooked this less than gallant departure and moved into the Doctor's arms. The next dance was a waltz. Adric was not of an age or disposition that he would have enjoyed this step, but the Doctor did. The couples whirled smoothly across the floor like the planets in Ptolemaic orbits. They retrograded around Ann and Lord Cranleigh.

"Is that Nyssa or Ann?" Tegan wondered.

"Ann. If you look carefully, Nyssa has a degree of control of her body that Ann does not. Traken deportment emphasizes grace of body as well as grace of words."

There's a Harry Potter fanfiction called "My Immortal" that is supposed to
be atrocious.

Not really fanfiction, but there was a sword and sorcery story called "The
Eye of Argon" that became notorious among sci-fi and fantasy fandom for being so badly written and unintentionally hilarious.

I'd say anything Ben Chatham related but I just can't help but find it amusing.
