Do you have it on record that Colin won't record a commentary with Eric?

I believe it was Steve Roberts of the Restoration Team who produce the DVDs who said that the only other two people apart from Tom Baker and his ex-wife Lalla Ward that they won't book for the same commentary are Colin Baker and Eric Saward. Apparently, they still won't speak to each other.

Ah, I thought it was Steve. Can't blame Colin after watching the recent DVD extras.

There was a clear feeling at the time though that this era marked a slide in quality and this became apparent in the clamitous figures for Colin's second season.

That was more down to Grades hiatus and restrictive measures he took out on the series.
That's an opinion, but I think it is part to blame but the characterisation of the 6th is also to blame.

Nonsense.

Season 22 beat Davisons last two seasons and the ratings were climbing by the end of the season, he also beat Tom Bakers last season and also Patrick Troughtons first season.

Had Grade not interfered and thrown the show in to question and in to hiatus, the evidence suggests this upwards trend the show was currently enjoying would have continued.

There is no evidence of thas. It is merely conjecture. Polls of favourite doctors always place Colin in the bottom places, confirming my thoughts.

What a few fanboys think filling out polls in fanboy rags have little to do with what the public think, and many more of them were returning back to the show after a ratings slide which took place during Davisons Season 20.

FACT.

No, not a fact. And even polls with the general public tend to place Colin down near the bottom.

And how many of the general public do you think could be bothered to fill that rubbish out?

It will have only been the fanboys who caught the poll in the Guardian who bothered with that rubbish.

Chris Chibnall's "criticism" of Terror of the Vervoids on Open Air in 1986:

"A routine whodunnit on a spaceship."

From the author of the faeces-enriched bilge that is 42 Laughing

To be fair, "42" is actually one of his better scripts, if you want examples of his faeces-enriched bilge you only have to look so far as his appalling Torchwood scripts, particularly the excruciatingly bad "Day One" and the truly fucking awful "End Of Days" which makes even RTD's worst scripts look almost comprehensible and well thought out and structured by comparison.

Don't forget he also wrote the truly trite and incredibly moronic "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang" episode which even makes RTD's thicko episode with the flumps look like intelligent high art by comparison.

In many ways Chibnalls writing reminds me a lot of RTD's, riddled full of thicko clich├ęd dialogue for attention deficit dumbos and full of popularist references and inspired by too much juvenile american superhero-comic wanking and lacking any kind of well thought out narrative cohesive structure.

Fuck me, I'm no huge fan of the Trial Season but "Terror Of The Vervoids" comes across like Robert Holmes in comparison with Chibnalls hack.
