In what way do you 'support' any of these groups of half-witted millionaires? I'm fairly sure they could carry on just fine without you.

Maybe follow is a better word.

Technically you do "Support" a team, by paying for the ticket. the merchandise, by buying what the sponsors sell.

Yeah I'm sure Christiano Ronaldo would be one Bentley short if you didn't buy a ticket.

I don't. I find the sport is lacking any intellectual stimulus, it's players a bunch of overpaid crack snorting cunts who treat people like shit but get praised as heroes and role models for our children. Many of the fans are just members of the lowest denominator of our society who think its justified to beat people up because their team beat their own.

Football is a sport for thickos and chavs.

A question from an unbeliever.... Wink

Does anybody apart from B, support the teams of the places where they live, or were brought up?

If not, by what criteria do you choose which team to support?

I'll have to ask my Dad this question. (although he's only an armchair supporter)
When i was a kid, he "supported" Leeds Utd, but these days he "supports" Man U.
I'm pretty sure he's never been to either of these places in his life.

When I was a kid, Nottingham Forest, when Cloughy was at his peak. Was always more of a snooker and darts fan though.

I've never supported a football team, no one in my family has that I know of.

Were those of you that do encouraged by your parents or other relatives? Or did you get into it some other way?

I'm from Surrey/London so Fulham's fine and their training ground it rather close to my studio aswell.
