how obscene is your collection?

mine is pretty moderate, i've been pretty restrained over the past 14 or so years.

i have

every dvd release bar two or three.

about 50 target novelisations
the 64 armada paperback
32 new adventures
12 missing adventures
5 EDAs
4 PDAs
11 year's worth of DWM
Timeframe (softback) - autographed by a few dozen people
8 dapol figures
product enterprises cybermen
product enterprises tom baker & k9
20 or VHS cassettes i've held onto
every doctor who radio times cover since 1996
various newspaper clippings from the 90s
a big stack of those battles in time trading cards
some of those gaming cards from the mid 90s
a tom baker pen from the longleat exhibition
promotional posters for the TVM
TVM novelisation
TVM postcard book
DWM TVM special

the jewels of my stash are the armada book and the signed timeframe softback, i'll get some scans up if i can sometime.

years ago i was at a convention in bristol, and the lead axon costume was on display. i was about 9, and stayed there all day, until they started packing everything away. i noticed that in the spot where the axon had been, there were little scraps of red latex & yellow sponge that had fallen off the costume...and amidst this...there was a small, finger sized axon tentacle.

i pocketed it, and for years i treasured it. then it went missing. i think my ma must have thrown it away...

As much as I like Doctor Who, never been a massive collector
mine consists of

Several DVD's
A fair few VHS from the mid 1990's one of which is The Daemons (I believe is fairly rare nowadays)
Couple books, best one is Cybermen by David Banks
Black/Silver Remembrance Remote Control Dalek

New Series Cyberman Head well I had too Wink
And my Full Size Revenge Cyberman Head which I got off Ebay but which is now signed by Frazer Hines(Jamie), Anneke Wills(Polly), and the White Witch from The Daemons

My Ultimate Goal is to have all the heads of every Cyberman incarnation, and make some sort of cool display

I'm not a huge collector really, got about 30 Target books (first five Doctor's only), a couple of 60's annuals, the 25 anniversary book, some old VHS tapes, some DVD's and few autographs. That's about it!

Dammit, you had a bit of Axos?

You could have grown a full grown one from that! A bit of radiation from your mobile phone would have done the job I reckon if you fed it over time.

You should have yelled "You murderer! You murdered my baby Axos!" at your mum.

I've got the same tin but Tom Baker's version.

Laughing actually for years afterwards i got nervous whenever my mum went near my room, and not cos of the drugs and grot mags under the bed...

"if she jumble sales that armada paperback..."

thing is, it was the cool axon - the one that looked like spaghetti instead of kebab. it's sort of spoiled it in a way because whenever i watch that story... ...i mourn

Couldn't you nick some red dreads from your girlfriends collection whilst shes not looking and make a new Axon out of those?
